Title: Timing Belt Intervals
Post by: Azman on June 23, 2025, 09:59:51 PM
Hi folks,  I am looking to purchase a 2018 Giulietta Veloce and was wondering what the actual recommendation for Timing Belt change intervals is.

If this has already been answered on the forum please direct me to the post.

Thanks so much in advance.

Timing Belt & Water Pump must be replaced every 4 years.

Thanks so much.

I am guessing that the belt / water pump change is around $2k

The car I am looking at has 68k and belt / pump have not been changed.

From what I hear the other thing to check is the clutches on the vehicle as that is quite an expensive replacement and I guess it is a bit harder to detect although there are some tell tale signs.

I am actually looking at a car on the GC and noticed you do mobile work.   Do you also do pre purchase inspections?

Thanks again for the response.

Unfortunately I have had to retire due to failing health.

Ahhhhh, NO.  I would do the full cambelt & water pump change for $900. That's using all genuine parts with upgraded
water pump with updated bearing, fresh coolant, and also using the correct cam lock tools and doing the job properly, no shortcuts.
