Title: Help find Airbag module 3 pin connector?
Post by: Glend on April 17, 2025, 01:02:18 PM
So excuse my first post. I have a 2001 Spider (Oct 2000 build), and it has an airbag light on.  I have Multiecuscan registered copy, and the KKL cable and the 3 pin Airbag module cable with the 12v and and leads.  I have the TRW2 airbag sys I think as I have the pretension connectors on the seats.  I have located the ODB connector under the panel near my right knee, yes it's a RHD car.  For the life of me I cannot find the 3 pin connector to allow me to connect to the TRW2 module.  I have removed panels on both sides of centre console area, I cannot find any sign of it. Please point me in the right area. I have searched online and I think I know what it looks like, but no luck. What am I doing wrong? Is it somewhere else? Help.
Thanks Glend

If your car has the OBD connector it does not use the 3 pin connector.

To read the Airbag ECU you use the OBD port and KKL lead with the RED adaptor lead, available from eBay.

Thanks BazzBazz. Yes my car has a standard ODB connector. Seems the Multiecuscan website has led me astray, it said KKL plus the 3pin adaptor, both of which I have.  I will order that red adaptor.
I am still wondering where the heck the Aurbag module is hiding.
Cheers

Try the cubby hole behind the seats, from Alfaowner UK -

"it is in the cubby hole...however below the centre speaker and then below a metal cover."
