Dear Alfisti,
I am a new member so please accept my apologies if this topic has been discussed at length previously and I haven't found the link.
I have a 1999 156 Twin Spark (Manual) that I have owned since new.
I am still marvelling at how good this car is to drive and how reliable it has been for me (touch wood).
Now that it is 10 years old I think I can hear the effects of the dreaded tin worm on the exhaust.
I was wondering whether anyone out there in Melbourne has fitted a stainless steel exhaust, or a decent exhaust system that sounds good and aids performance?
I don't want one of those massive things you see on WRX's; just something that looks like it could be standard.
Looking forward to your comments.
A few people have had modified exhausts on the 156 series of cars from the quad exhaust to the single aftemarket units eg. Remus etc.
I suggest that you have a look on the sponsors page ( top right hand side) and seek out what is available that would be most suitable for the car.
An Alfa specialist is the best person to tell you this. Try Monza Motors, Maranello Pursang, Italian Job etc.
Regards.
I have a stainless steel supersprint rear muffler - sounds great - I got it from Monza Motors but not sure if they still have them. Try Hugh on 9720 4442.
