Title: Alfa 159 flat battery issue
Post by: JimB on May 02, 2022, 12:58:02 PM
Hi All, further on my 159 battery issue posted on 29th April. The battery took a complete recharge on 29-30th. Today, two days later, its lost much of the recharge. The car locked, all lights, etc out is drawing between .6 and 1.0 amps. We've pulled all the fuses we can but none have caused any change.
Can anyone please shed any light on this matter? Clearly I'm hoping for an easy answer, an optimist I know! before taking it to an electrician who has never actually worked on a 159! Jim

Hi Jim,

We have a 159 2.4l diseasel.

We have similar issues. One thing we found was that the door lock/ anti theft causes quite a drain on the battery. Leaving the car unlocked (not legal, actually) preserved the charge much longer. Having said that, the battery on our car will go down over a few days. We need to drive it at least every second day.  :-[
