Post by: dd italia on January 05, 2009, 06:02:27 PM
hello, new to this, just inquiring about the gtv 2.0 exhaust placement, why was it made in the middle? not possible to move it wear it is on the gtv6?i
i have a gtv, and just looks odd having a 2.5inch exhaust hanging in the middle? any ideas on good exhaust tips?
- thanks, daniele

As far as i know, the main reason is because of the fuel tanks, 4cyl gtv's run the fuel tank under the boot floor(left side) with the spare wheel well on the right, down the middle is the only place for the exhaust to come out(apart from side pipes!). The gtv6's have the fuel tank in the boot and due to the fuel lines running down  the ride side of the gearbox, the exhaust comes down the left and stays there when heading out the back. So if you want to move it to the left you'll need a gtv6 fuel tank.
Or i can always sell you a body kit! hehehe (but that still requires the fuel tank going in the boot!)
