Title: Trying to identify 159 wheels
Post by: Cam D on August 29, 2020, 07:33:53 PM
Hi everyone

In Perth today I saw a lovely 159 drive past me. The wheels were a gunmetal grey type colour. They looked great! I've done some googling And I think the photo I've attached is close. Does anyone know the style or which model they came on particularly ... was it the Ti?

What am actually trying to do is track down the paint code and thought I'd arm myself with some info before contacting Alfa Romeo

Many Thanks
Cam

Yeah they are 159 Ti wheels. From what I know all came in silver and people just paint em black or gunmetal. Ti wheels always come up for sale second hand on gumtree and the like. I picked up a set for my 159 and paid 1k all up a year and a bit ago. Either you can get them resprayed gunmetal or I'd recommend powdercoating if you want a more durable finish.

Further to VAR164 post, the wheels would have been refurbed in Hyper Black powder coated finish similar to the ones pictured in the aftermarket wheels available from OZZY tyres. Most local wheel company's that offer refurb service should be able to meet your requirements.

It can be hard to tell.

If you have Titano satinato w658/B and don't clean them, they soon become Grigio Antracite Diamante mts 2ct W693/B...

I think it took me about 30 - 40 sec to realise you have some sort of rim protector on there..

Mine did not, and one of the previous owners added  a bit of custom scuffing modification to them..
Likely looking to sell mine shortly. Either get them cleaned up, or sell as is, need a refurb..
