Title: headlight angle adjustment
Post by: vjr on December 03, 2008, 09:31:17 AM
I've noticed that one headlight is pointing up/down noticeably more than the other on my '99 156.
2 questions:
- can I adjust the headlights myself (and how? couldn't see a reference in the owner's manual)
- how do I know I have them at the correct angle?

Thanks!

You really need a sight board, or at least a measured distance from a wall and adjusted by someone that knows what they are doing. As it could be a safety issue (if you are blinding an oncoming drive) might be better to visit one of our club sponsor workshops. Very cheap job.

Good idea. I would've thought it was a roadworthy issue, in which case not sure why it was missed yesterday ...

All done, took it into Robert Lane Brighton and they did it on the spot, no cost. Will check it out tonight  :)
