Is this conversion worth doing and if so which kits are recommended? Car is a '69 GTV 1750

Advantages of such a conversion allows easier filter changes (DIY's) and cost and availability of spin on filter versus cartridge, so Yes worth doing. For availability of conversion kit you could first check local suppliers or Centreline has a kit at the following link.
