Hi all, noticed this car on the net and love the look - https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/102637/alfa-romeo-alfetta-gtv-group-2.
Two questions:
1. Are cars like this modified for a wider wheel track with spacers, etc, or are they just running really wide wheels?
2. Where to buy the body kit in the photo. I emailed the cars restorer, Oldtimer Studio in Romania, and they pointed me to Turbomotors - http://www.turbo-motors.it/ct-menu-item-1/ct-menu-item-3.html, but the kit on their site looks different.
Welcome any thoughts about feasibility of this sort of body kit for the street, and where to source.
Thanks!
Turbomotor sells the Gr.4 version flares are larger than the Gr.2 ones sold by Fibrecar in Italy
Wider track probably as a result of wheel offset and spacers, consistent with regulation compliance and stud loading. Car looks like it retains standard four stud hubs.
Would make sense to use spacers to fine tune track and resultant weight transfer.
Great video................great road........and scenery!
Not trying to high jack your thread, but here is a link to my favourite Italian Alfetta GTV hillclimb clip , I posted last year. worth another look

Thanks everyone. GTV6SA, Firbercar kit looks like the one I was after - thank you! Paul, agreed, that is a great video.
This is one of the most original Autodelta Gr.4 Turbodelta GTV's as documented in my book .It has been updated with modern technology with regards to some of the mechanical components but still complies with the homologation of that period.
This has an original chassis and many original homlogated components, how do you come to the conclusion that the chassis is abandoned?
To take this thread in another direction again, have a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjnFQe8t690. Reminds me how unique these cars really are, especially in this age of so much sameness. Also I think the front spoiler from MC racing http://www.mcracingsa.com/28-piece-composite-rallye looks great with the later body style.
No worries. Thanks for the video by the way, that car really has some pace!
Sportiva, you still didnt answer the question as to how you came to the conclusion that many ex race and rally cars are stripped of their components and chassis discarded, instead you go off on a tangent and accuse me of trying to sell you a book , truth is my book is even in the collection of Ferrari Engineers so I am not concerned about whether you buy one or not as many more notable people have it in their collections including many members of AROCA!
Hi again. GTV6SA, your book looks really interesting. Where is it available, and does it cover both Group 2 and Group 4 (Turbodelta) cars? Thanks, Mark
