Title: tailshaft model differences ?
Post by: carlo rossi on July 31, 2019, 12:17:37 PM
Can any one tell me the differences for a gtv between the 76 to 77
the 77 to 82 and the 82 to 86 Tailshaft?
I recently purchased what I was led to believe an 1985 virgin tailshaft
but upon inspection and ordering the new rubbers
it turns out to be an 1982 tailshaft ( i think) as i have not pulled mine out yet
( the hose clamp is still working fine )i was going to rebuild one for a swap
NOw all seems fine (except finding a 55mm bearing ) except the very rear rubber from the tailshaft  i purchased has 3 dowels(female) holes ! They all have 6 bolt holes but thge dowels are different .

the new rubber has the reverse it has the dowels(male)((now dont get all lbtgt on me )
Does anyone know which one i should have ??
