Title: Considerations when buying a used ALFA Romeo Giulia Veloce
Post by: dreddpax on June 02, 2019, 11:13:27 AM
Hey guys and girls,

As the post suggests I'm leaning towards getting an Alfa Romeo giulia veloce.. unfortunately can't afford a new one so aiming at a slightly used one.. maybe ex demo (except I know what people are like when they drive them)

Preferably 2017/2018.

Any tips in what to look for?

General issues with either year model?

Average price range for something like this?

I've seen a lot of ex demo veloce's in car sales and I wonder why..

Any help at all would be great.

Cheers

They devalue big time , so the smart choice is second hand/used . A friend just bought one for 35k as new cond ...

A veloce for $35k?? Are you sure it was a veloce or just a standard guilia?

Must have been a Super, not a Veloce. Cheapest Super I've seen advertised was $44k for a 2017, so haggling could probably get you one for under $40k.

Cheapest Veloce I've seen was $55k.

More to the point, there is a private seller QV in Vic available for $91k (2017 - 18,000km) and a 2017 QV with 15000km available for $99k at a  Sydney dealer.

Now lets be honest, if it wasn't for the fact that Alfa prices plummet faster than an A4 Skyhawk without power, then most of us would never have been able to buy one.   ;)
