Hi
The clips are used for fastening hoses on a spider to a male fitting.
Eg radiator hose clip and 10mm rubber hose.
With the radiator clip, how is it undone.
Also for both clips i dont want to use any pliers, but the correct tool. Also where the tool can be bought.
cheers CC
clamp to an approx 10mm rubber pipe
Repro has the tool, perhaps super cheap too. Bursons defo.
I can't remember the name of it at the moment, google is your friend
Clamp, circlip, radiator hoses, tool... >> nazi porn, everytime!!
It's not a Clic Clip Tool.
You'll be amused to know eLearn simply says to remove the rubber hose. ::)
And the replacement hose clamp by part diagrams/numbers, is a worm driven unit. 71714115 is the big one.
Are they the pinch type hose clamp? If so, I remove them with a flat screw driver in between the two layers of the clamp and lever until the little pins pop out. I have never reused them because I find them a massive pain in the ... and always replace them with screw type ones as they are much easier to remove/reuse.
But, there is a specific tools listed online that may do the trick.
They're Clic Clips in your post above this one.
No, these are a single use hose clamp and have to be destroyed to get them off. Replace with standard hose clamp of the correct size.
Caillau "VISA E" clamps, I believe. ;)
And no luck finding tracteur collier visa, or outils colliers visa. :(
Hehe, I've been using a screwdriver, pliers and bad language all these years [emoji23]

OP: When you get to the heater-firewall hoses, best to have a set of hose picks ready. It will save hours of swearing. Toledo make a pair for $20-ish sold at Repco, Autobarn etc.
I was thinking of the Knipex ones... as you were (rule34)
I did some work on a Porsche 996 recently and it was fitted with constant tension hose clamps throughout.
They initially frustrated me until I found the proper tool on Amazon with a long cable to get into tight spots.
I'm now a big fan, and have replaced a few clamps on my 164 with this type :)
