Thanks mate, much appreciated.
Just for reference, I'm talking about the ones in the attached pic, for the later GTV.
I actually managed to secure one about an hour after my bump so don't go to too much trouble, but I wouldn't say no to any fairly priced spares.
PS Meizhak, nice collection of cars you've owned there. Mk 1 Cortina was my first car. Fiat 850 was dad's car when I was a young 'un. Always loved 125s, and determined to get a 125T (NZ homologation special) one day.
If only I hadnt sold them Sheldon
Sold my mark 1 gt for about $400.00 about twelve years ago, saw one for sale at the last ford day here for $17000.00, bummer
But the 850 is the pick of the bunch for me. Have been on the hunt for a good one for a while now
give my left nut to have my 125 back though, went like a shower of s*$?t and was an all round goodn, something different to a 124 sports, although I pulled the running gear out of it and put into a 124 sports because i thought that was cool back then
the rt40 corona I bought from the origional owner when i was living in melbourne. was traded were I worked at essendon Nissan. It had 12r motor and toyoglide two speed auto. Replaced this with 18rg injected import motor and 5 speed, mits scorpian lsd, went like stink, cut 13.7sec down the quarter mile. Not bad four something that i put together in my backyard licensed and roadorthied for under two grand. and I drove it back to perth accross the nullabor.Got $50.00 for scrap for it in the end.tried to sell it tried to give it away didnt have room in the end
Sobb, Sobb Im all Melencolly
Cheers

Talking about that Melzhak, I noticed you also owned a Fiat 131 Superbrava, that was my first car an 82 model.
When I bought it back in 91 not many of the boys (my non italian car mates) knew what it even was.
It copped an absolute caning from day one until the end and was a an absolute blast, took 2 years to finally blow the diff and I replaced it with a 132 diff. Bulletproof. When were you working at Essendon Nissan ? I grew up around there.
I know a few people who did own an 850 and are looking for another one!
P.S sorry for going off topic
Cheers

Pep,
Busted rear diff was also the undoing of mine, and yes it copped a right flogging everyday of its life.Pretty sure Ive still got the origional
wheels lurking around somewhere, think my brother had them on a 124 sports till he wrote it off.
Worked at essendon nissan in the late 90s
eveyone wants an 850 sports
and yes sorry sheldon for getting off topic
all this talk of cars I should have kept excites me
PS Ive got those door handles if your interested, no locks tho
Meizhak
Thanks Meizhak, will send you a PM ASAP.
Cheers
