Title: Spider gearbox swap
Post by: 75guygtvgirl on September 23, 2018, 07:24:45 PM
Hi guys just wondering if the 5 speed box from a 99 156 ts will fit a 2000 spider ts?

Not sure, if they are, but I do know that the 156 uses cables for the gear selection where the Spider if I recall uses a rod/link setup. I don't know if this would prevent  a straight swap or not, but it would suggest that the selector unit on top of the gearbox may require changing over and i do not know if they are compatible.

Ahh yes, completely forgot about that.

So no, they are NOT compatible.
