Was browsing the pickles auctions salvage list and came across this...
https://www.pickles.com.au/damaged-salvage/item/-/details/CP-02-15--Alfa-Romeo--4C--Coupe/252520286
How does one even manage to do such damage to a car!?!?!? Its actually split into two pieces :o
Andrew
Hit a pole side on?
Swerved to avoid a small animal and slid into a tree, apparently.
Didn't use the correct jack point...

Was it in ludricous mode?
For $540 it would make a fantastic conversation starter in my lounge room.
A couple of tubes of airfix glue and a can of humbrol paint and it should be back together and as good as new....
With a bit of imagination the buyer could build a "stretch" version.
If I had the room I'd actually grab it, the auction places is 10 mins down the road. Surely the headlights and seats would be worth a couple thousand.
But I think bringing it home would make the neighbours not overly happy hahaha.
Andrew.
No way it goes for less than a few thousand bucks. Parts value would be tens of k$ I reckons
I would use the front end on the wall coming thru in my bar
or a cafe
cool
there has to be 2000 in parts at least
That's a good way to use it. :)
I'd have thought its value as a front end donor for medium collision, might make it quite valuable.
I was here
Watching it go... Riveting stuff; living vicariously on the skin of other peoples' wallets. ;D
Edit 1: WTF - they just added eight minutes to the auction close time? Failed to meet reserve?
Edit 2: Last bid I saw, at the alleged close time (revised) was $4900.
Thats the figure that I noted too. Wonder if it sold and by how much?
not a bad price.. easily $5K in parts.
Just as well it wasn't in Brisbane or it'd be in my garage right now..
Face it, you're a closet member of the Frankenstein family.
Anyone ever seen someone try and shoehorn a 4C motor & gearbox into a Duetto . . . .stand back and watch! :o
;D
Grab the soft hammer Igor...
