Title: WANTED - Good 105 Gearbox (mechanical clutch
Post by: Gianpaolo Basile on June 24, 2006, 01:06:09 PM
Hi All.

I am looking at repairing/replacing my 105 GTV gearbox.  It is a 67 with 1750 motor, but still original 1600 box and mechanical clutch.

My options are simple: Rebuild my box, or buy a decent one.

Thank.
Gian.

I'd just rebuild what you have - sourcing from somewhere else will always be somewhat of an unkown quantity, unadvisable on a 105. If you do the work yourself, or get someone reputable to do it for you, you have the piece of mind of knowing the condition of all the gears hubs and bearings and knowing that everything has been put together properly.
