Title: Data Mining and Auto Italia
Post by: GG105 on April 13, 2018, 04:22:41 PM
Data Mining is much in the news lately ;D

Accordingly, I was very disappointed to discover that when applying for a pre paid Auto Italia ticket, AI's ticket supplier Ticketebo requires an enormous amount of personal information including my home address, mobile phone number and email.

As I just want a ticket to attend a car show, and in view of the facebook debacle, I dont want any more of my personal information sprayed out to data miners. So, despite the threat of not necessarily being able to park in the display, I'm going to run the gauntlet and pay at the gate.

Full marks to AI team for organising the event concurrently with the first weekend of school holidays and the Canberra Marathon.
