We will be running two public lap sessions under controlled conditions at about 11am and about 1pm.  Bring along your road car, no need for a helmet or safety equipment, and get a few laps of the Sandown race track for your entertainment.  Free of charge.

All competitors friends and family, club members and general members of the public welcome.

We may as well do a show and shine, creates a better atmosphere for all those brilliant Alfa's visiting.
And to add to the Italian atmosphere, a wood fired oven pizza van will be there to feed everyone.
Bring an antipasto lunch, grab a pizza and enjoy the day watching what Alfa's do best.
So bring your Alfa's out.

Promises to be a great day.  The parade sessions before and after lunch are an opportunity not to be missed.  Run at an attractive pace behind the Safety Car, a couple of laps of Sandown gives you a real insight to the beauty and spectacle of this amazing circuit.

The PAB has mysteriously remembered how to drive a manual - she drove the 75 all yesterday!  She'll now be driving a black 147GTA in the parade laps.  Be there!

Rush of entries in the last day or so, filling very fast.
Over 40 AROCA members and also similar numbers of Alfa cars racing.
Wood fired oven pizza and coffee catering.
Parade laps for members before and after lunch.  Must sign on and attend briefing.  And must behave on the track.
Going to be a great day for all, spectators and competitors.

Also seeking volunteers to join the AMSG, especially those wanting to help and be trained in timing and officiating at the higher level ie Clerk of Course and Steward and if you really really want to, have my job!!!!

Cheers and see you on the track.

Due certain circumstances, the parade laps sessions may not happen.
Something beyond our control.
Stay tuned but come out and watch some Alfa's go around quick and enjoy the day with the entrants and officials.

Unfortunately Parade Laps can't happen tomorrow at Sandown however weather forecast looks perfect for a "come along and look see".
We have Winton in April and back at Sandown in May so another couple of opportunities to run your Alfa behind a Pace Car at these great venues in the near future.
Really looking forward to tomorrow!

We had an absolute hoot today in the 156 GTA, great day.  A bit windy but nice and cool and no rain.

Here's my fastest lap today, with a bit of traffic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMv2pEdqRZU

What a fabulous day we all had at AROCA Sandown, full field, cool weather, no rain or moisture, slightly cloudy, some sun at times.  E&B sandwiches and coffee for breakfast.  Wood fired oven pizza for lunch and capped off with a few drinks at the end of the day with the crew.  Some meaningful and advisory discussions on how to check for fluid leaks and tighten nuts.  Lots of well presented cars from MX5's, Mercedes, Porsche, Lotus, MG's, BMW's, Nissans, Hondas and the usual gathering of classic Alfa's to modern Twin Spark Cup 156's and GTV's.  Not a lot of excitement on the track other than an unfortunate incident of a car coming off from oil on the track.

The wonderful and hard working officials to thank are:
Ross Flood, Colin Edwards, David Floyd, Evan Bottcher, Bruno Colautti, Malcolm Powell, Geoff Vernon, Mandy Thompson and Karen, John Rodda, Ray Pignataro, Tony Raditsis, Max Lloyd and Leon Bogers.
All carried out their duties with teamwork.
Simply, they just did it and ran the show.

Also Peter Hillman and daughter Imoggie helped at check in.  But the morning got to cold and windy for the little one.  Thanks regardless.

Some vision is starting to be shown.  Evan and Phil's GTA.  My only pic of two TS Cup contenders.  Got some 360 vision later of TS and MX5.

Next will be AROCA Winton on April 14 with sprints, Alfa Racing, MG Racing and MX5 Nationals.  Big Huge Enormous Spectacular Event that will be.
See you then.

For your entertainment, two Twin Sparks.
Admittedly, one had bad tyres and bad pads etc.
