Hi Guys
Planing on doing a brake upgrade shortly on my 83 GTV. Presently running standard callipers with dimpled and slotted rotors. Will be servicing the callipers, full flush of system, new hoses etc. Curious as to what brand/type of pads others are running and recommending?

Hi Alpal007
Find attached link to a previous post on suitable pads for the GTV6 "Ferodo DS2500"

Further to my earlier post, find attached a link to a good guide on selection of disc pad material, covering street and race conditions.

Interesting link, exactly why I was looking for.

Ferodo 2500 are pretty good. But you can get higher friction co-efficient pads. The Ferodo 2500 has nice feel, but once again you can get pads with more initial "bite". I found the Ferodo 3000 too grippy and I could lock front wheels at any speed (road tyres). I use Endless Type R on the front and Pagid yellow on the back, which I think has very nice balance. You'll find that Skyline rear pads are very similar to GTV6 front pads. They don't go as deep toward the axle, which increases the effective braking diameter - which is good. So, I use Skyline rear Endless Type R on the front.
Thanks for your observations Doug Gould. Appreciate the feedback
