Hi All, This problem is probably not new, across many vehicles. However, its my first encounter with the Media Player function inexplicably ceasing to operate. The fix is so simple I thought it may benefit others who encounter it to report it here. After 15 months of generally satisfactory operation of the sound system in the 159 JTS Ti, with the exception of the odd time when connection to the MP function was slow or required switching engine/phone off and on. However, recently I could not make the connection from iPhone to Alfa, no matter what. After the suggestion from Gordon Meek at Solitaire Alfa Romeo in Adelaide that I disconnect the battery overnight, Voila! Problem solved. Apart from losing trip data and resetting the clock all appears to be back to normal. Regards Jim

This is a known iPhone issue.  No solution, other than what you have reported, or switching to an Android phone.
