I just hope the film is half as good as this spine tingling tribute to Bruce McLaren from a few years ago.

Nice one Paul, that video is magnificent, I get almost as many chills up my spine watching that as when I watch the All Blacks do The Haka. I've watched about half the feature film so far, and it's flippen great.
Brilliant! Make sure you sit through the credits.
I spent a bit of time hunting through the Repco archive looking for period footage for the production company to use. Some footage taken from the Repco promo film '1966, 'The Fantastic Year'

Here's the link to Repco Lad's film . What a great clip . In the spirit of the coodabeen champions. "Is easy to forget how good we where".

Black Jack certainly features in McLaren and I have to admit I didn't fully appreciate how much Bruce was Jack's protégé.
I probably underestimated how much Bruce's influence continued at McLaren Cars after his death too.
There's a nice 105 in the car park at the 15 min mark
We have cans of 32mm film and a ton of pics from back in the day, so I thought we would have had something on McLaren. Unfortunately there is very little on any of the NZ drivers.
"There's a nice 105 in the car park at the 15 min mark". I noticed that , parked next to a Austin Healy Bug Eye Sprite. The Sprite & the Alfa were the first two cars I ever owned . I got a little bit misty eyed then, started searching for the tissue box.
