My Sprint indicator lever on the combination switch is ready to give up the ghost. The problem is that the spring which locates the ball bearing which provides the switch location effect has broken and jammed the lever. As far as I know and from my enquiries, new ones do not exist. Does anyone know where I might get a serviceable used unit in Australia? Or, has anyone pulled one apart and managed to put it back together in working order? They are riveted together and are not made to be serviced.

I pulled mine apart (early 90's) as the contacts were suffering from higher wattage lamps (100w vs 55w). I drilled out the end of rivets and used them along with small bolts when reassembling. It's an easy piece to take apart, especially if it's (now) made of unobtainium

I put relays into the lighting circuit at the same time.. Consider this

Thanks for that. I think I will try repairing it first. Nothing to lose.

Autobooks vs Haynes manuals. Later model of same unit uses copper coil 'cams' to cancel indicators. Earlier version, with all same stalks/functions/connections used 'leaf' type plastic arms ... have had both in my Sud. Original was earlier version.
