Title: AROCA Sprint Round 3 Sandown
Post by: Colin Edwards on February 22, 2017, 01:09:25 PM
The Sandown Sprint to be held on 13th May will feature an additional element.

AROCA invites all to attend a relaxed Show and Shine.  Entry to Sandown and the Show and Shine is free.  Judging will take place in the competitors car park / rear of pit area.

Three categories - Spider, Coupe and Sedan will be available.  Trophies awarded for best presented car in each category.

During the lunch time break, a parade lap or two behind the safety car will take place.

The atmosphere will be very relaxed.  All invited to show their cars and watch the Sprints.  Usual Sandown catering will be available.

Please contact Mandy at vicepresident@alfaclubvic.org.au or phone 0412806240 giving your name and car details to register Show and Shine and track Parade Laps.  We need to know numbers for judging area allocation and Parade Lap marshalling.  Cars need to be at track 9:45am.  Winners of Show and Shine will be announced prior to Parade Laps

See you there!

Sandown Sprints only a bit over two weeks off.  Great opportunity to display your show car in lieu of racing it.  Still able to do a couple of controlled demonstration laps behind the Pace / Safety Car during the lunch break.  Have to be in the "Show n Shine" to be in the running for either best sedan, best coupe or best spider.

At this years recent Alfesta, a lap (clockwise however!) of Symmons Plains race track was organized.  Near 50 Alfas took up the opportunity to have their portraits taken on the main straight - pretty impressive.  Sandown can be similar - just need to confirm attendance with the V.P (Mandy) and be there!!
