Title: Completely not Alfa, 200 kmh in a Jag F-Type
Post by: Stuart Thomson on October 03, 2016, 09:54:31 PM
Hi All,

As many of you know I've moved to The Netherlands for work.

One of the perks is a tax-free status, which means I don't pay VAT or the CO2 emissions taxes on cars in NL.  This opened up a lot of choices when it came to purchasing a new car.  After much internal debate, the Alfa 4C lost out to the Jaguar F-Type S British Design Edition (some of the reason was that it was actually available and I wouldn't have to wait until December for a car).  Had it for about two weeks now, went to Germany on Sunday (excuse, visit a castle, real reason, Autobahn!).

Still running the car in and gaining confidence of the car and other drivers on the road.  Also trying to work out the German roadsigns.  200 km/h indicated on the speedo, 196 on the GPS camera.

Cheers

Stuart, I think I've got you covered. A little bit bigger & a bit faster.
300 kph this afternoon on the train between Milano  & Turino.

Cheers Gully.  ( Turino)
