This could be interesting.
Perhaps Quaif did a faster ratio rack for the 116 chassis cars???
Power steering rack is 3.25 turns lock to lock.

Hey ,

I am currently building a 75 ts track car. I originally explored the option of using a manual alfetta rack but was turned off by the slower turning ratio. So I removed the p/s belt while I still had it on the road just to see how it felt and if I would be comfortable using it on the track-apart from being a bit heavy to park -it was fine. I then spoke to 2 power steering speacialists in Brisbane and because these arent a very complicated rack they were happy with just plugging the holes ,draining the fluid and greasing the bar. I am yet to try it on the track but I can't see it being an issue.
There was a post by some guy in the u.s fitting balance lines but that applied to v6 rack which was different to Ts.
I hope this is somewhat relevent and am interested to hear from anyone whi had also dine this.

Cheers,

Luke

Is it worth starting a new thread on coming up with a faster steering rack that uses a suitable rack from a different car???
