Don't be scared off by rumors, I purchase my Alfa 159 2.2 JTS manual two years ago, it's a 2009 model with 42k on the clock.

Not a single issue, it drive like new having travelled on long country trips or around the suburbs, I have added 12k over the time I have owned it.

If you are worried about the reliability of Alfa's check out the problem that all the other major manufacturer have had.

Hello Mario159,
I purchased a 159 3.2 JTS Q4 TI manual around 8 months ago with 75K on the clock.
Done around 87K now.  Only issue was an engine misfire a month or so ago.  Replaced original plugs and problem fixed.
I don't believe their is any way you would get 120K out of a set of plugs as suggested in the Owners Manual. The plugs had eroded resulting in a 30% increase in plug gap!  One or two plugs had virtually no centre electrode!
Given the significant increase in fuel economy with the new plugs I figure they probably should have been replaced at around 60K < 70K.
