Title: Thread pitch of Clutch Master Cylinder Activation Rod Standing Pedals
Post by: chopperpat on May 29, 2016, 07:10:35 AM
Whilst replacing the Clutch Master Cylinder in my 1974 Junior, the Clutch Master Cylinder Activation Rod has snapped off flush to the end of the steel tube.  Can anyone please confirm that the thread pitch is indeed M9 x 1.25?  :(

G'day, Tricky one I think..
Measured my 2L rod thread. Got approx 9mm diam but 1.37 mm pitch. Checked UNF and UNC but they are 9.5mm (3/8") and pitch falls both sides of the measured value by quite a margin. So best approximation is 9mm x 1.5mm metric
Good luck with finding a suitable screw or die. I think I would be looking at tapping it out to 10mm.
