Hi All,
I have no idea if this is standard, but the spare wheel that came with my GT 1300 Junior is a 15" x 4" steel rim with a 155 R15 tyre fitted. This setup fits neatly into the spare wheel well in the boot, both diameter-wise and width-wise. I found that the wider road wheel (maybe 5.5" or 6" wide?) sit above the top of the wheel well and therefore reduce the available boot space.
Unfortunately, what is probably a 50 year old 155 R15 tyre on my spare wheel has perished to the point that it's not even fit to use as a spare. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a reasonably priced 155 R15 tyre? None of the retail tyre places can help. Alternatively, is there some other (ie more common) tyre size that will fit my 15" x 4" rim?
Cheers,
Nick
Should be able to find a 165 i think?
Alternatively, 15" space saver tyres are around that size.
I've got a road worthy 175/15 tyre and tube you can have for free.

Hi Gary,
Thanks for that, but today I found a local supplier (ie Antique Tyres) who stocks 155 R15 tyres. It cost somewhat more than I was hoping to spend on what is effectively a space saver spare wheel, but it'll do the job.
Regards,
Nick
