Title: 4wd 164
Post by: ARQ164 Shane on April 15, 2016, 09:06:54 PM
Hi Guys,
I have a old alfa 164 qv in my shed.
I am not sure what to do with it because it has no motor, So far I have thought about making a Ute or(Pickup truck)
but I think it a bit to much so how about a:  Toyota land cruiser  chassis and running gear with motor maybe something that has
been rolled over so that I just unbolt the old body and put the 164 body on.

What do you recon?

;)

I can see where you are going with this. It's a bit like the Arna all over again. Sushi meets Spaghetti. Didn't work then, but who knows maybe you're onto something!  :o

Find a crashed 916 GTV6, use engine/trans/loom/ecu from that.

The gtv6 idea is pretty cool, but a 147 Gta conversion? They're getting cheap now, maybe a wreck might not be too far out of reach... Would make for a pretty fun 164!

Hey mate, my brother has both 916 coupe and spider which are both write offs (spider is repairable). I believe the spider has the Q2 diff as well so if you're interested in buying one (or 2:-p) for the mechanicals let me know.
They've both done around 100,000km.
