Title: Gearbox oil change - how often?
Post by: DHDamo on March 17, 2016, 05:55:26 PM
How often should I change this? Car has not done lots of k's but has done almost a dozen track days. Shifting requiring a bit more finesse compared to post rebuild. Could it be oil?

Currently running redline 75/90w ns. Would shockproof be a better option for next time?

Cheers.

Thanks, reckon I'll leave it be for a while then. Think I'll stick to the 75/90 too since its a stock alfetta transmission. Got my drum for about $100 delivered about 2yrs back (au company).

Have run the Redline Lightweight Shockproof in 2 Alfetta transaxles in recent years & both times it has improved the second gear change.

I have an almost full bottle of the Redline 75/90 left over from a Lotus I had if anyone wants to have it.  I use the shock proof in my twin spark box in my GTV
