Okay, I'm just merely trying to get a better understanding of what it would involve. I don't plan on doing this anytime soon, if at all.
My 164 has a small oil leak from in between the gearbox and the engine. It isn't urgent but will need looking at further on down the track. So to fix this the gearbox will need to be dropped out.
Question is, if I were to get a manual gearbox from a q, would it be difficult to swap them over? Also would obtaining the necessary bits and pieces to make it work be easy? Linkages etc.
Some may say it isn't worth going through the trouble though.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Andrew
Depends how much it will cost you to acquire all the parts for the conversion, and how much time/effort you are willing to put in. I'd suspect that for not much more than the cost of the parts you could buy a used Q which will also include a more powerful engine and electronic suspension (if it is working!).
I would definitely love a Q but finding one in good nick is the hard part!
Anyone selling theirs!?
Thanks, Andrew.
