Hi Guys I got the Alfa bug again , what would your choice Twin Spark 75 or V6 3LT
Cheers in advance
The Bug never stops ,no matter how hard u try, like a sickness at fever pitch .... Cant comment on the v6 75 but have owned a twin spark 1991 model, an absolute pleasure to drive , very well composed on any kind of road , sits very flat on corners , the engine has the most beaut sound (song) , nice power to boot as well , whatever u choose , am sure u will not be disappointed ,, just a note, 2 ltr is chain driven , the v6s are belt driven .. Good luck
Obviously down to personal choice, but I know that my ideal next buy would be a 3L Potenziata. I love my GTV, but boy do I miss my 2.5 V6 Busso 156.
The less boot space and extra consumption are the shortcomings for the 3lt v6, although the power, sound and bigger fuel tank makes me lean towards it. Gives me a bigger smile than the twinnies ive had.
3lt much better suited to street driving. Burst power is there, unlike the TS which would be more suited to longer open areas where you can stay 'up it' without risk of getting caught [the track...]. The TS does feel lighter in the front, maybe a bit more balanced, but how often are you throwing the car around?
For me, the 3lt is the way to go on the street.
Busso all the way. I haven't driven a ts but I doubt it can sound nor perform as good as the 3l. There's just something about it that makes me smile everytime I get behind the wheel, especially hearing that Busso roar.
Andrew.
Busso for the sound. Twinspark for everything else.... Until/unless talking mods - in which case - 3L for the cubes...
The twinspark will run forever on benign neglect (i.e fluids, plugs, disposable rubber bits like donuts and transaxle front mounts). Busso will need a timing belt as well... And the tensioner... You can buy a whole twinnie for the cost of a busso service...
Oops - sorry - I meant don't touch a twinnie - rubbish - if you have one you need taken off your hands I may be prepared to do so for a small fee...
