Title: Tyre size advice
Post by: alfa75gta on January 02, 2016, 05:04:15 PM
I have 16X7.5" rims to fit to my Alfetta but i want to avoid fitting wide tyres as the steering suffers resulting in reduced finesse and heaviness at parking speeds.

Does anyone know if 205/50 section tyres will be reasonable on 7.5" rims? Or will they be too stretched? Any photos of this application would be appreciated. Otherwise i'll go for 215/45's.

Thanks
Nigel

It will depend on the tyre but overall it would not be "stretched". The early Fiat Coupe 20VT has 205/50 on 16x7 as standard.

Ok cheers!

My Alfa 75 has 205 50's on 7" rims but i wondered if the extra half inch would stretch just a little too much
