Title: Alfa 105 1974 coupe correct tyre size?
Post by: Clive Minchin on December 31, 2015, 05:18:48 PM
HI All
My Alfa 105 GTV is due for new tyres. It currently runs 185/70R14 88H tyres on standard rims. I was wondering if this is the standard tyre profile (70) for these cars?

I wanted to get new tyres that are a bit more sport oriented but they all have 55 or 65 profiles.

Would it affect adversely my car if I ran a lower profile?

I was thinking about Michelin pilot sport 3s or some Yokohamas but these are only available in 55 profile.

Any suggestions for a good sports oriented tyre?
:D

Happy New Year!

My GTV still has the original Michelin 165 SR 14 in the boot. Bit hard now but it still holds air.....not bad after 43 years.
