Title: jolting changing

i have 156 slespeed it is jolting when changing gears it revs high and sometimes slips out of gear can anyone help

Try posting it in the correct column, the 932 series which is dedicated to 147-156-GTV-GT series cars.
Try typing in a thread of what you have described and you will get a few ideas.
I see you are from Oakleigh, try Mauceri Motors in Clayton, talk to Seby or Corrado, they have decades of experience with Alfa Romeo's.
The selespeed has to be serviced and calibrated on a regular basis, Alfa Romeo Service Providers only for this one.

It could just a matter of doing a few adjustment
best to take to a alfa specialist
it could need a end of line calibration
clutch plunger adjustment
clutch calibration is just to name a few things
it could also be electric pump, relay accumaltor
