Title: Another Temp Related Question Alfa 156 2.5 V6
Post by: Szybki_one on December 11, 2015, 12:15:06 PM
Hi Everybody!

Last weekend I replaced my thermostat and flushed the coolant and the temp has been sitting over 90 Deg (93 Deg) once warmed up and the Thermo's kick in after idle for 1min.

My question is, Today I drove to work with no issues and temp was normal at 93 Deg but once I parked the car up for a few minutes (10mins) and when to head off again I noticed the temp on gauge was around 97/98 Deg.

Is this normal or could I have a air lock within the system? I'm having no coolant loss.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

So to clarify, after the car was at 93 deg , it was idling for 10 min after which the temp was +93 deg.
Had the electric fan on the radiator kicked in after the 10 min had elapsed?

The car was sitting with the engine off and the temp went up when I switched the car on. As soon as I switched the car back on the fans kicked in.
