Title: coolent dash light

 Hi gents and dollys
I've got the temp light on all the time on the dash barstard thing.
I changed out the sender in the bottle and the dash cluster ????? I'm at a dead loss
any thought PLEASE
the temp gauge is only get to 40 c maybe 80c but no hotter

Only thing I can think of is the quality of the coolant in the engine. Maybe change it out if it's old.
If not maybe the wiring loom could be damaged and is grounding somewhere.

If the temp light is on it won't be the sender in the coolant reservoir as that has it's own "coolant level low" light.

Have you checked the connectors on the temp sensors on the thermostat housing? These can get a bit of corrosion in them if there has been any coolant dribbling in the area when bleeding the system (or slow coolant leak in general). There are usually two sensors there, one has spade connectors and one will have a bosch style connector, not sure which one is for ECU and which is for dash but I'd assume the one with simple spade connectors is the one that drives the light in question.
