Post by: lombardi on July 28, 2015, 02:08:50 PM
Our records list 2 bearings ( inner & outer ) for each wheel ------, this is the reply received enquiring replacement drivers side bearings, is this correct ?

Correct.

Each front wheel (hub) has an inner and outer bearing, which are different sizes. You can see from the axle stub: the inner bearing sits next to the splash guard, and the axle is a wider diameter. The outer bearing, near the tip of the axle and thread for the nut, is a narrower diameter.

This photo shows the two bearings and the hub and seal.

Thanks shiny car, was a bit sceptical as they were relatively cheap from a company in victoria, my mechanic was gonna charge me about 4 times more for same part thus the worry..

Why don't you just go to a bearing shop locally to buy them - they are not hard to get by any means
