Hi all
The fuel pump has gone in my 105. It's in the rear of the car and is electric. Appears to be std. Can anyone recommend a good replacement? The car is not raced but does have a custom fuel injection system with a motek computer and electric ignition.
If the fuel pump is in the back and electric then it is not electrical.
Although this alteration is not unusual, what you have is unknown. The best solution I can offer is to take it off and take it to somewhere like Repco. I bet they will have the same one or something similar.

I think Gary meant not standard (or we are now living in a parallel universe were electric pumps are not electrical :) )
however, as always, he is correct just thought i'd mention that if your have a Fuel injection system, then it'll be a high pressure pump, and depending on what fuel pressure regulator set-up you have, you should try and track down the same one so as not to upset the working pressure of the system
a photo of the pump may help identify it?
I'd say any fuel pump from an Alfa 75 or GTV6 would be sufficient. From memory they are used on VL Commodores also and are Bosch. I don't know the number off the top of my head sorry. 10mm inlet and 8mm outlet.
Thanks everyone. Good advice. Ill attach some photos to help the discussion as soon as i find a tool to cut down their size. I don't know what the silver cylinder/cannister behind the fuel pump is for. Fuel is going through it and into the pump. I cannot see any wires attached to the cannister. Is it a fuel filter cannister?

It is a standard Bosch HP fuel pump, as mentioned, from GTV6 or 75, or commodore, sold everywhere or try an Alfa parts supplier locally. The silver canister is the fuel filter forward of the pump.
You can give it a hit with the handle of a hammer to try free it up and maybe it will start again, but will stop again. The piston is probably gunk up.
Pretty sure you'll want a 'Bosch 070' fuel pump. There are aftermarket replacements, cheap is not necessarily nasty ... just usually :) actual bosch part number is 0 580 464 070 as fitted to the 75. The part number for the one you have should be stamped on the alloy casing. The electric terminals are 1mm different in size to help ensure they don't get wired up backwards - neat !

thank you all. My friendly mechanic ended up putting a truck grade electric fuel pump in it. Seems to run better than before though a bit noisy.
