Title: 159 2.4 JTDm Ti manual (210 PS) turbo conversion
Post by: vic cimadori on May 22, 2015, 02:45:12 PM
It appears the manual Ti (210 PS) was not available in Australia. Is this correct?
Would it be possible to replace the Borg Warner KKK BV50 turbo on the Automatic Ti with a Honeywell-Garrett GTB2056V. The KKK lags power until 2000 rpm whereas the Garrett peaks at 1500 rpm. What is likely cost and implications of this change?

I advise getting your inlet system cleaned out before you do anything if you haven't already. They clog up with black crap due to the EGR system, (especially if you only do short trips), and that causes noticeable lag.
