Title: What are my camshafts - good, bad or ugly
Post by: michaeljc on May 17, 2015, 08:44:42 PM
Nearly got my little rust free gtv back together.  Decreased, new gearbox, clutch, brakes, donuts, plus other stuff ... Nice & shiny underneath now anyway. Looking forward to having a blast at one of the sprints and meeting you all. When I got the car it came with a spare set of camshafts so I wonder what hot stuff is in the engine at the moment ..... Not that it seems too hot. The inlet & exhaust are both 1054805 200 01 with an L also forged at the front end of each cam.

Can anyone give me a little 'heads up' on what sort of cams I'm running at the mo.?

Your car has the hottest factory road going cams. They are commonly known as '48's and are sort after for earlier Alfetta models. Hang on to them.
Cheers
