Nope! Family commitment on the calendar. See you at broadford! And missed out on a SUD Ti gearbox recently so still looking for that gearbox.

Get a 1700 gearbox out of a late model 33, they have a stronger crownwheel and pinion plus 2 extra bolts to hold the crownwheel in place, the 1700 has extra power over the 1500, but crucially it has more torque, which is twisting power and thats what breaks things.
Alfa Romeo wouldn't have made it stronger if the 1500 unit was ok, Colin.

after a mad rush to get the car ready and moving house I realised one very important document and that is the log book the paper work is still sitting at home. BUGGER. looks like I have to wait another month.

Enzo164: are you talking about a club permit logbook? There's no need for a CAMS or AASA logbook to run at the supersprint.

hi Evan on the entry form it asks for a log book number so do I need a log book to run the 33 at next weeks clubsprint?

No log book required

Only
1 CAMS license
2 Blue Triangle (battery)
3 Tow label (tow hook already part of the car body on a 33)
4 fire extinguisher
5 helmet

Good luck

Definitely no logbook required for supersprint, yep it's on the entry form but optional. Thevak's list is a good start, please read the supp regs thoroughly for scrutineering requirements - e.g. Extinguisher mounted with bolt/nut not self tappers, metal valve caps etc. Numbers and blue triangles are available to buy on the day. Just use some red insulation tape to show tow points, cheap and removable. Hope to see you there!

Shout out if any more questions...

The rest of the photos can be found by clicking the link below if you try to find your own car. Just don't want to spam the forum with similar looking photos other than the cars in them.

Fingers crossed that link works for other people too, not just me.

Hi All,

The link works for me, Kris.

Thanks to all and sundry who bought stuff at the SBR BBQ.  My coffee machine may never be the same.  Thanks to everyone who made a donation on the day.

Although I'd love to do more than this, our other track events are locked in by the track owners.  So next opportunity is Sandown again in September.

Next time...
I'll remember sugar.
I'll make more hamburgers.
I'll probably bring some tea and skinny milk (though current dietary research is divided on low-fat dairy)

If there is something else I'm missing, please feel free to PM me and I'll endeavour to have it on the day.

So, as I won't have my car fixed by then, the next fundraiser for the SBR will be photos at our next event at Broadford, unless I'm Clerk of Course or something similar and can't take photos.

Again, thanks to everyone who supported the cause.

Cheers
Stuart

Hi Evan,

It's in the other thread (just now, thanks for the reminder), but just to make it easy...

To read more on the SBR NZ and our involvement, I'll be regularly updating the thread.
