Been looking for the Bosch twin spark top distributor cap with the leads coming out at 90deg. (see pic)
Have been chasing one of those since putting a TS in my 105.
Does anyone have the Bosch part number for that cap? Should be stamped on there somewhere??
Thanks
Mark
My car uses a normal distributor cap with right-angle leads. Sufficient clearance. Sorry I can't find a better picture than this one.

Yep... that's what I have now. But being a race car, need a little more clearance and protection from the heat of the radiator.
Have put some insulation between the leads and the radiator, but the ideal solution would be the 90 deg distributor cap.
Given that many engines have their plug leads situated between exhaust manifold branches that often glow red hot, I doubt that the relative small amount of heat coming off the radiator should bother any decent quality plug lead in the slightest.
If you need the extra clearance so it doesn't hit the radiator and break the cap, that's a different story.
Cheers,
Vin.
Thanks Vin... I agree.
But I just don't like the idea of the top of the leads rubbing against the radiator.
For the cost of a dist cap.... it good piece of mind!
So, if anyone knows the part number for that cap... please let me know.
This is sort of what it looks like..... (this one is Citroen)
If anyone with a 105 TS or 75 TS have a dist cap like this, please let me know the part number.
I have removed the dizzy cap from my car and theres no part no. on it. A google search for bosch side entry or right angle plug yields some part no.s but they seem to be unavailable or expensive. My car was converted by Hugh Harrison, maybe he knows where to get them...?
Not sure the part number of that dizzy, another option, a lot more work, is make a single dizzy using a Nissan twin spark cap and roter. Bit of work but very neat
also, a second alignment cutout has been cut/filed in the dizzy so the cap points toward the intake cam instead of at the water pump
Thanks for the info.... on here coz Hugh can't remember where he got it or the part number!!
Head down to Autopro or Repco (Rip Every Poor **** Off) and ask to browse their Bosch cattledog.
The have pictures so you should be able to make a match.
When I did my first conversion in 1998, I went the Nissan route.
Jolly good idea.... will go and annoy the DH's at Repco or Bursons to surf their Bocsh catalogue!!

Tell me what branch you are going into and I will ensure I have extra DHs on hand just for you
There are Shed loads of threads on the AlfaBB including part numbers and cross references if you search for distributor and twinspark.
I have always found the staff at Repco to be OK, they seem to be there all the time, so the staff turnover is not that great, some of the other spare part chains, where they are part timers, less so.
You always find dickheads in all organisations, the wages they get are most likely not that high, Colin.
