Title: A simple 156 2.0 TS power mod
Post by: bazzbazz on January 04, 2015, 07:09:01 PM

Am doing a rebuild of "Ruby's" engine after she was "Torpedoed"  in the Brissy Mega-Storms the other month & suffered bent Conrods due to Hydro locking.

I am balancing & lightening the Conrods & Pistons while they are out, the lighter these heavy components are, the more it helps the engine to accelerate quicker. (reducing the mass momentum & Polar moment of each part)

But if you want to save yourself some time (and a lot of weight), you can replace your 156 2.0 TS pistons with 147 2.0 TS items, each piston is already substantially cut down & each one is 50g grams lighter than the stock 156 unit - 200g in total, that's pretty substantial in this sort of thing. And that's before you even touch the piston to see if there is any further room to lighten it.

Just if there is anyone out there who is thinking of replacing there 156 pistons at any time . . . ;)
