Title: Desperately need M8 helicoil
Post by: Gusto on December 27, 2014, 10:44:07 AM
I've tried everywhere and nowhere is open.

Does anyone have a M8 x 1.25 helicoil thread repair kit, in Brisbane, I can use? I can pay in beers or get you some replacement coils once the shops open again. It's for exhaust studs on a 75.

Alternatively, does anyone know of a place that stocks them that is open today?

Thanks

Try Supercheap or Repco, did buy a kit from Repco a long time ago, may not stock them now, with cheaper ones on ebay, Colin.

Check with the large hardware stores Bunnings or Masters (or their equivalents in your state) as they usually carry a range of engineering stuff and you might luck out with the right bits. Barry

Another day searching. I've tried repco, supercheap, masters, bunnings and various hardware stores and auto stores. All the tool shops don't open until Monday. Repco doesn't seem to be the place it use to be. I've also bought a kit from there but none stock them now days.
