Title: Dipstick level
Post by: bendover on October 02, 2014, 06:29:02 PM
There dont appear to be any markings on the dipstick of my 147.

How do i know when there is enough oil in it. At the moment it shows about 3 inches up the stick, is this enough or too much.

There's two lines at the bottom of the stick. Top line is full, bottom is low. Space between them is worth one litre of oil. Oil level 3 inches up the stick is way too much oil mate.

Critical that these motors have the right amount of oil, if it falls below MIN, you will damage your engine, check it on a weekly basis, Colin.
