Title: Hi from Brisbane
Post by: Justin84 on September 27, 2014, 10:13:34 AM
Hey all,

I'm new to this forum and just introducing myself to say hi. I always appreciated the driver feedback and design of new and old alfa's, and a few years ago took the plunge on a used Brera. Currently driving a giulietta QV. It just happens that alfa hit the sweet spot for me of price, performance and design.

Just hoping to keep up to date with any events, interesting discussions or news :)

Welcome to the Forum Justin, lots of knowledge out there, Alfa Romeo's have always provided good feedback to the drivers, you seem to know where the wheels are and how far you can push the car.
Join up with the local division of the Alfa Romeo's owner club and get involved with their various activities, Colin.

Hi Justin,
Plenty of Qld based members here...

If you are even vaguely interested in joining the club you are welcome to come along to an event or club night. You just missed (unless you were there?) Festival of Italian Motorsport at Lakeside Park on Sunday 21st September. A lot of members took the chance to take their road car for a spin (not too literally) on the track in "happy laps" before the racing and regularity events got started:

That would be me in the 166 (and yes, that is a Porsche following - I don't know who let him in but at least I had a good view of the speed activated wing while following it around...).

The club calendar (http://www.arocaqld.com/cms/pageDisplay.php?module=custom&type=events&name=allEvents) is on the web site.

You might also like to check the club facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Alfa-Romeo-Owners-Club-of-Australia-Queensland-Division/197124920354328).
