Driving along happily on the freeway today when the old lady ahead of me in a Camry (why is it always a Camry...?) swerves slightly and drives over a piece of timber (foot and a half long and 4our inches wide) on the edge of the road. Said piece of timber is spat out by the rear wheels and flies straight into the grille on my 156, before hitting the bonnet, windscreen and roof.
So I now have a dinged leading edge on the bonnet along the top of the grille, where it has cracked the paint, and a couple of nice scrapes along the bonnet.
Could have been worse, and it wasn't really the old duffer's fault, but still ...
So you got wood from a Camry :)

One of my mates was a motor bike hit a pallet on the Hay plain
The front wheel come of and the forts went in to the road the rider fly over this car.

I can better that by a guy in a hyundai gets three weeks ago. Im taking my 66 427 corvette coupe for a rego inspection. On a straight piece of road this guy heading towards me decides to turn into his driveway without looking and drives head on into me.
Its amazing I survived. I spent over a week in hospital and im still on morphine 24 hours a day.
My car is completely destroyed and I still dont know what is going on. I havent heard a thing from the police.
Apart from broken ribs, nose and smashed up face I have absolutely no memery of the accident.
Im not sure when ill be able to work again.
Oh dude, that is absolutely terrible. :( I hope you are able to recover from all of the injuries.
It sounds like you had just finished a restoration on the Corvette. Thats gonna hurt the heart too. I hope insurance is more than fair to you to help with your recovery.
:o ouch, that's just not funny at all boots. Damn, the amnesia could have extended to spare you the memory of even having the car atleast. Anyhow, hope you get yourself back on track soon mate.
Thanks guys. Its a bad deal. My car wasnt insured. My fingers are crossd they charge the other guy.
My next battle will be with his insurance company trying to lowball me. The car is a write off and it will cost $120000 to replace.
