Post by: Andrew2600 on June 18, 2014, 09:33:10 PM

The wire wheel manufacturer? What was the quote figure?
It kinda wouldn't surprise me if they quoted a fortune. Kinda of a niche market and meeting safety standards wouldn't help.

BBS once quoted me $6500 for new 17" wheels in 5x98... I'll never understand that quote...

They quoted $7500.00 plus freight I don't know if thatis what to expect for odd size rims but that sounds
like a lot to me.I know that the 2600 sprint ( witch so what I have) came out of the factory with wire rims
as a factory extra, and I know that these rims are exy also
Ps let me clarify that the price is for rims only no tyres but dose include the spindles as they are knock offs

Yeah, BBS quote was bare wheels plus freight too.
$7.5k is a lot for wheels... Will make you think twice about the next set of 'expensive' wire's you see on ebay hey?

Yeh, I still don't understand it but I gess that's just what they go for.
But a contact believes he can get them for about 2 grand so I'll see what he can do and will let you all know
