Title: Selling my Porsche (2009 911 S)
Post by: aggie57 on June 16, 2014, 08:00:28 AM
I know this is not an Alfa but many of you in the Victorian Club know my 911 so I thought I'd let you know I am selling it as we are moving to the US in the next couple of months.

Here are the basics:

I have used this car as my every day transport and weekend fun car, and enjoyed every second of it.  I really don't want to sell and if not for the above relocation I wouldn't.  Yes, it has seen some time on the track (1-2 events per year) and it's seriously quick if that's what you want.  And it's a great commuter wagon as well, if that's what you want.  Or both (as it is for me).  You drive it to the track, put some numbers and the dorian on, do some quick laps, and at the end of the day pull that stuff off, switch on the aircon and Bose stereo and set the satnav for home.  It really is that good.

But more to the point is that its the very last of the "analogue" 911's, with manual gearbox and hydraulic power steering.  In years to come this model will be seen in a similar way to the 993's as the 991 that came afterwards is really really good, but is a bigger stretched car designed for PDK, the less sensitive electric power steering, and a bunch more electronic trickery interfering with the way the car drives.

$130k and its yours.

I was asked today if my car is manual or auto / PDK.  Thankfully its a manual.  Makes driving in traffic a pleasure in my book :).   See below.
